Ferris Wheel
From 1 February to 10 June, the Ferris wheel village comes to life, an area destined to host a rich programme of initiatives aimed at children and young people, families and citizens, as well as tourists in the nearby historic centre. Exhibition events, markets, sports activities and a food & beverage point to enjoy healthy conviviality with loved ones at the entrance to the Parco delle Cascine.
Piazza Vittorio Veneto thus remains the home of Italy's tallest Ferris wheel, which, at 55 metres high, has returned to shape the Florence skyline after the great success of the two previous editions. The wheel village is therefore a place for everyone and is ready to change its skin over the next few months, hosting new entertainment opportunities, especially aimed at children and young people, first and foremost the imminent Carnival party with masks, sounds, lights, colours, confetti and many opportunities to have fun.
Florence Eye is also powered by wind and solar energy, demonstrating its sensitivity to the environment and sustainability. It is Frisbi Energia, an innovative Florentine start-up, that powers Florence Eye and the adjacent attractions. The entire village is powered by energy produced in Italy from photovoltaic and wind power plants; Frisbi will supplỳ the energy needed not only for the wheel, but for the entire theme park, including the ice rink.
Florence Eye is realised by The Wheel Srl, Runner Pizza, Mondobimbo Group Srl, Sicrea Srl and Secur&Secur Network Srl, with the media partnerership of Radio Bruno, in collaboration with Confartigianato Firenze.
